Exhibition

After the school term is to the end, and it always has a test of subjects. My classmates and I display an exhibition to appraising from teachers. In addition, we usually use the site that it is not a formal exhibition of space, so we make a difference form in this show. We want to create a full of home feeling that we need to decorate such sofa, desk, many books, television, chair and so on. In particular, about our works are hid in somewhere to search for audience.

Lion King

I have a chance to play the role of male lion. It is the leading role in story about a lion cannot write a letter, but he wants to make friends with a female lion. Then the lion compels animals to write the letter, so there are many funny things that happened between male lion and animals. At first, I need to recite many lines in a play, but it is difficult that I am a new hand. In addition, I must not only memorize the actor's lines but also do the body language in the same time. Although I meet some troublesome, it is a memorable when each rehearsing and formal performance before.

Have a Trip in Hsinchu

In order to attend a competition of glass I went back to Hsinchu yesterday and recalled my university of life. I ate the food what I ate before, similar strolled along the street and appreciated the scenery of a place of historic. Then I smelt the air and .
the famous wind in Hsinchu blown my face. I felt to return to past life also.

About My Works

I attend a competition of glass once two years in Hsinchu. I give my works to staff from Banciao to Hsinchu.There are many complicated steps to do these work.
The first step is transformation the LEGO toys to silicon mold.
Second step, putting some beeswax in silicon mold and waiting cool.
The third step is using fireproof gypsum cover with beeswax.
Fourth step, great heat melts beeswax.
The fifth step, putting fireproof gypsum and glass of materials in stove.
Sixth step, waiting for seven days.
The seventh step, repairing and grinding the glass.
Final step is polishing up the glass.
The glass material of diaphanous and smooth attracts me, so I would like to use the glass doing my works.

I went to Taipei City for visiting Young Designers

I went to Taipei City for visiting Young Designers' Exhibition last weekend. This is an exhibition only for universities or college’s students that doing good in design. There are many differed styles of art, including clothing design, shoes design, products design, molds design and everything about design that you can image. I spent 4 hours admiring around the exhibition, everything is interested to me. I think, this exhibition is really deserved to visit that even I have to spend NT200.

A Comparison of Two Pictures

The definition of Venus is different from past to the present. Because of imitate of the predecessor's works, it displays the different significance and the time background. Therefore, we can tell these special characteristics very clearly from Titian and Manet’s works, and they look pretty similar at a glance. In fact, the difference in time between Titian and Manet is five hundred years, but there are quite a few differences.
One difference is composition. The picture differentiates from the three positions of near, middle, and far. Although there is also a naked woman who lies down the bed in two pictures, it is the same for a glance. The most obvious difference is that in 《Venus of Urbino》 there are two women cleaning out something in a remote scenery ,but in 《Olympia》 a black woman holds flowers in her hands. The composition is different, however, Titian and Manet reflect the drawing style at that time.
A second difference is character. It exactly describes Venus both from past to the modern age. There is a shy model looking forward in the left-side picture, but the other model in the right-side picture is expressionless looking straight ahead. The definition of Venus has been vacillated since Titian to Manet.
The third difference is sign in works. The painting has the symbolic mark to provide frequently to view. For example, the symbol of puppy is loyal, but the symbol of black cat was unfortunate even suggestion of sex.
A fourth difference is time background. Two pictures' time is respectively the 15th century (The Renaissance) and the 20th century. The quantity of painting appears in Renaissance and these Pornographic Pictures serve to woman who does not marry yet. These designs are not only the pure portrait, but also usually drawn on the cover of the clothing boxes. Women use these to inspire their desire, in order to satisfying their husbands.
To sum up, paintings of Venus from Manet to Titian propose an issue to make the contrast. There are four reasons of composition, character, sign, and time background to show, the Venus has a new definition from Manet. In order to reflecting the people different thinking, two artists propose resistances to the social personal comment. The most important thing is that their works has the satire on social.

My Favorite Sport

I have a Mystical fish

Playing the facebook's game of My Fishbowl is interesting and accomplished to me. Be a player have four steps should to do. First of all, I can collect some treasure from your friends's fish and save enough money continuously. Second, choosing the favorite fish I like. There are many kind of fishes to supply for we want. Third, it is important the fish produce treasures if you feeding them in time. The last step, I can use these treasures to selling them and changed more high-level fish. That is say high-level fish of treasures has a higher value.

SUN

In order to see sunset, I drive the car to Mt. Guanshan about Five o'clock. Along the road the wind is warm and the sun hangs front slanting of sky. After I arrive at the destination, then start to walk depending on the my feet continuing ten minute. It has many people in that side already and I look for a suitable position quickly. The sun comes down slowly, its color changes slowly also. Everybody holds the breath and nervous. Finally the sun disappear in the sea level. Causes me associate a poem what I see. ”To see the sun, for all his glory, Buried by the coming night.”

A Lot of Fun

Today is my first time that driving car to Kenting. It takes three hours from Tainan to Kenting. There are many different landscapes on the roadside. It is not a sunshine day., but the ocean still blue and the wind feels comfortable. Everything is pretty nice. I love taking the trip because its relax for me.

Qualities of a Good Artist

Be a good Artist has three main points in qualities.First of all, getting inspiration from any thing that interested, and transform into the work. In addition, they should combine ideas with and skill to created a large number of works.Second, try absorbed to you can see and hear ,moreover they changed a new think from them. For instance, you can earn inspiration by some recreational activities such as took a trip, watched the movie, join a club, and so on.Third, be a success’s Artist must link with own life. It is mean that they will live in arts, but not show on works.To sum up, Be a good Artist has these qualities in the same time. If you can solve these problems in the same time, welcome to join us of artist’s ranks.

Chou Pang Yen

Born in Taipei, Taiwan, Chou Pang Yen graduated from the Arts and Designs Department at 2004, National Hsinchu University of Education. At that time, He studied in Education of credis and his major subject in the same time. Then he attend in Graduate School of Sculpture in 2008, National Taiwan University of Arts and he also studies in Secondary Education Program. He has experiences in teaching elementary schools, and makes arrangements in the art of groups during the winter and summer vacations. He studied with many distinguished artists Da-Yuan Zhu, Ming- Zhu Huang, and Bo-Cun Liu.
Since 2005, he has lots of experiences in exhibitions such as 『About me』in HsinChu of Science Park in 2007, 『A piece of cake』in Banqiao of NTUA in 2008, and 『From Here to There』in Gueishan in 2009, etc. In 2008, he awarded Student Category of Golden Glass NO.1, and was an invited designer of Sand Sculpture in Ponghu and Fulong in 2009. He will continue to work hard in art creation and visual design.

Introduction

I was borned in Taipei city, and I lived there until senior high school.
My family members are mother, father, two older sisters and one older brother. I am the fourth of children. My sisters and brother are married. I have five nephews in all. Now I live in Banqiao with them except my sisters.

In high school , I studied classes of fine arts. It laid a foundation of my painting. In order to advance to University in the future. I still took lessons after school about painting. Then I attended to National University of Education (Arts and Designs),and studied the education grades. Afterward, I luckily admit to graduate school of National Taiwan University of Arts(Sculpture). My research is the three-dimensional modeling in view of the object.

The material I usually used is glass in the past time. I spent much time on this field even though not smooth going. My parents still cheer on my major. In the fourth grade of my university, I got the award Student Category of Golden Glass Award in Hsinchu. It was inspired me very much, I want to keep this way in my future.
